The Peto Centre in London has recently been closed by Scope, the charity which gives it funding. This is shocking news to the parents of the children who attend, including Emily. It means that if Emily is to continue her treatment, she will either have to travel to Budapest several times a year, or have a private conductor visit her home. As you can probably imagine, this will cost even more than the centre in London. More news on this when it is available.

On a brighter note, Emily mouse mats may soon be available to buy.

Samuel Catterall-Young will be shaving off his hair to raise money to Help Emily Walk! Now, this may not sound like a big thing to most people...but when you consider what his hair looks like....it becomes a different matter altogether!! Keep checking back for an updated picture of Sam next week!!

Thank you to everyone who attended last night's Karaoke. We raised £488 by selling raffle tickets, collecting loose change, letting people who were willing to pay a few quid sing first and then holding a small auction for some signed football merchandise. We also collected an extra £62 which had been collected over the last couple of weeks in a collection pot on the bar.

The Peto Institute recently altered the prices they charge to give conductive education to children like Emily. It is now £20 more a day (£160), which is £100 more a week for full day sessions, (£800) and is now around £9,600 a year. At the moment Emily only has the stamina for half-days, but her parents are building towards full days. Thank you you to everyone who has donated so far, and to those who are going to donate in the future. We do also need prizes for our raffles, to make more money at fundraising events, so if anyone has a bottle of wine sitting in the cupboard, or a dodgy Christmas present that you never opened, please send them to the address on the 'Donate by Post' page!! Anything and everything helps!!

Emily is taking part in a horse riding competition today. I am taking the video recorder, so there may be a clip of her soon, and there will definitely be pictures!
